Winter Ice Climbing: Level 1-3        2 Day

Ironically, the most spectacular ice in California is also the most accessible. In winter, the waterfalls near June Lake and the leaking aqueduct in Lee Vining Canyon freeze solidly into the crystal-blue medium of the "slippery game".

With the help of ASI and IFMGA Guide, Doug Nidever, a long time resident of the June Lake area, we have redesigned our winter ice climbing program progression to accommodate all levels of today's modern ice specialists. It's the best ice in California and well worth the weekend trip!
