This expert's course combines high-performance skiing skills with specific techniques to ski long, committing, high-angle descents. At Sugar Bowl, we practice exercises from dynamic parallel, to steep-terrain hop-turns and then finally, "virage saute pedal", the pedal-hop turn. We'll also refine techniques to enter and maintain controlled steep skiing in narrow chutes and couloirs.
For Advanced/Expert alpine skiers ready for double black terrain who want to add new dimensions to their skiing. Skills you will practice:
Skiing
Steep, narrow terrain entrances
Turning in tight, steep, narrow couloirs
Hip-check, hop turns
French pedal-hop turns
