Mt. Langley (14,042') 2 Day
The long ascent of the northeast couloir provides a steep ski descent in remote surroundings. This trip is for experienced ski mountaineers in top fitness.
Starting Point:
The trailhead (7,500') near Tuttle Creek Campground.
The Route:
A steep climb leads to a high bowl above tree line and a good place to camp at about 11,000'. Early the following morning, we will continue the ascent of the upper canyon to the base of the Northeast Couloir, climbing it for about 2,000 vertical feet to the summit ridge. On the descent, we'll retrace the route, pick up our bivouac gear and descend back to the trailhead.

Preparation:
Prepare for light-weight ski camping with well selected and well fit equipment. 1-2 days pre acclimatization recommended prior to the climb.
